Things you DON'T need to be healthy

Trying to be "healthy" (whatever that means to you) can seem impossible when we have so much information at our fingertips. Let me make your life easier by telling you all of the things you don't need to worry about:
Detoxes: Juices, supplements, whatever - your body has its own detoxification system.
Endless information: The more media, books, opinions, etc., that you consume, the more confused and overwhelmed you will become. You know what you should be doing. Stop assuming there's a secret you don't know.
Greens powders: A waste of money. Eat your veggies.
Supplement blends for bloating or fat loss are not going to do anything for you except drain your wallet. Go back to the basics.
Expensive memberships: I'm all for the gym, but you can be healthy without all the "fancy" stuff. Just because someone is doing Orange Theory, bootcamp, hot yoga, etc., doesn't mean that you have to. Calisthenics and walking are free!
Organic everything: There's absolutely nothing wrong with going all-organic, but if you don't want to or can't afford to do it, just focus on buying organic versions of the "dirty dozen."
Calorie or macro counting apps: This can be great for a short period of time to gain awareness of your choices, but as a lifestyle, it's miserable and unnecessary.
A giant water bottle: People are obsessed with drinking a gallon of water a day. You might not need a gallon of water a day! Aim to drink half of your body weight in ounces.
Take a deep breath. This is supposed to be a fun process. Your life is supposed to be getting better, not worse. You know what to do - stop second-guessing yourself!
